Bless thine soul,
Tiny Rollercoaster...
A rhyme on Metahistory:
The Historical Imagination [...]
by Hayden White

With the drone,
he is granted sight and gust.
With one sweep of a hand,
he pushed death elsewhere.

With a single glance,
he could save himself from curses.
With the gift in his hand,
no one dared to hold his gaze.

Cursed and surrounded by wolves
Pity was for the herd of sheeps
The cloud that had led the people
moved over and stayed there watching

Drone be all sight,
Drone be swift,
Drone blow away,
The mighty beast.

Proclaim! in the name of thy […]
Taught man that which he knew not!

Roll Oh roll, little car,
How I wonder what you are
Up above the world so high,
Like a cloud in the sky.

When the blazing joy is gone,
When all upon is silent,
Then we have faith in your rumble,
Roll Oh roll, all the night.

Then the traveller in the low
Thanks you for your guiding rumble;
He could not know which way to go,
If you did not rumble so.

In the world so high you keep,
And often through my curtains peep,
For you never halt your way
‘Till the car is in the sky.

As your joyful and faint rumble
Guide the traveller in the low,
Though I know not what you are,
Roll Oh Roll, little car.
